Our Story

Hi, we are the Grossman family, a close knit group - Randy (Father), Cheryl (Mother), Kyle (Older Son) and Colin (Younger Son), both of my boys are autistic. As parents of children with special needs we have had many challenges, one of which recently is what becomes of our children once they leave school, and of course will they become active parts of society or are they limited to only selective activities.

The journey starts with my son Colin, a 22 young adult with autism and unemployed. At 85% unemployment rate for those on the autism spectrum, it became clear that this was not going to be an easy task. Even with the unemployment rate at a 50-year low, it was apparent that we would need to be more open to ideas to help our son.

I (Randy) have had a dream of bringing a very personal passion of mine to the U.S., having been raised in Canada (mostly Montreal) I returned to the U.S. with a tremendous love of the bagels in Montreal. My Mother Mirel was from Outremont, a suburb of this wonderful city. She introduced me to this delicious morsel in the late 60’s and she shared what became a life long love of this world famous bagel.

Only recently did I have the dreams reoccur that aligned with my youngest son Colin helping me to bring this to fruition, in turn helping him to be gainfully employed. I wanted to instill the confidence and satisfaction that comes from working. Developing our small business, making and selling a Montreal style bagel is our passion.

Having fun in my Key West High School events!

Our goal in the future is to help hire more individuals with special needs, and donating a percentage of our profits to worthy causes in the community.

We really appreciate the support in this venture, and are equally proud of gainfully employing our son Colin to offer a product that truly is a project of love.
